Developed through stem cell research, Plenhyage XL is pioneering skin tightening. It makes ageing skin cells perk up and behave like young ones again.
Plenhyage XL is a type of injectable made up of PDRN biological molecules that help wake up tired, ageing and damaged cells to have them act as younger cells. This activates the cells and promotes skin regeneration.
Plenhyage XL vs Skin boosters
Skin boosters are made from hyaluronic acid. These boost the hydration of your skin as well as reducing the appearance of fine lines due to fibroblast proliferation causing collagen stimulation.
Plenhyage XL is made of DNA purified fragments (polynucleotides) which stimulate fibroblasts and myofibroblasts production. The myofibroblasts produce far more collagen than the fibroblasts and increase the metabolic activity of the cells. The effect on the structure and function of damaged skin cells causes cell regeneration leading to skin tightening, reduced pigmentation, scar resolution, decreased inflammation, hydration and radiance as well as increased hair growth.
Plenhyage XL can be used to:
- Mop up damaging free radicals accumulate due to stress, UV rays and pollution
- Treat acne and acne scars
- Treat Rosacea
- Reduce pigmentation
- Encourage wound healing
- Treat stretch marks
- Stimulate hair regrowth
Areas where Plenhyage XL can be used:

- and more!
A 2ml syringe can cover multiple areas and will be discussed at your complimentary appointment.
Local anaesthetic cream is applied then multiple injections of the product into the skin are done according to the area needing regeneration. The little blebs are visible for 2+ days but usually hardly noticeable after 3 days. Using a cannula reduces the downtime considerably but it is amazing what people do not notice. Dr Ros went to a party the afternoon that Dr Maddie did her treatment!
3 treatments, 3-4 weeks apart are recommended. Younger skin may require only one treatment while more damaged skin may warrant more. Maintenance is usually one treatment every 6 months.
Cost is £315 per treatment. To view more about this product, click here.
