About Semi Permanent Makeup
Semi-permanent make-up, also known as micropigmentation, is a form of temporary cosmetic tattooing which creates long-lasting eyeliner and lip colour. It can also be used to shape and contour eyebrows. We offer a full range of semi permanent makeup solutions including eyebrow, eyeliner and lip liner blush tattooing.
In order to maintain your permanent make-up, a retouch is required every 12-18 months. Very blonde pigments (used for fair eyebrows) will fade from the skin quicker and may require retouches every 6 months. Everybody’s skin retains pigment differently so no results will be the same. All pigments used are hypoallergenic.
A consultation is highly recommended before going ahead with the treatment so we can understand your semi-permanent makeup goals and ensure the treatment is suitable for you. A patch test is required before treatment and can be conducted during your consultation.
The Problem
You may want to define areas of your face such as the eyebrows, lash line and lip line. While makeup can help, there is a permanent solution for these areas that can help provide more definition while still maintaining a natural look.
How It Works
We will discuss your preferred shape, colour and desired end result. Once agreed, we map out the area and colour match to ensure we achieve the correct pigment.
We apply anaesthetic throughout to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
Your semi permanent makeup is done in two separate sittings – the initial treatment and a top-up. The top-up treatment is 4-6 weeks after your appointment to touch up the colour and make any tweaks if necessary to give you perfect semi-permanent makeup.

After your treatment the tattooed area will appear darker and more bold than you desire. This is normal and once healed they can soften up to 70%. Some people are disappointed by the fading of colour and some prefer it. This is what the top up treatment is for, we can add darker pigment if needed. The area will start to scab and begin to come away from the skin over the next 5-7 days. This is the part that most people dislike. Please do not pick the scabs this is so important and can make all the difference in the end result and how much pigment holds in the skin. Our expert aestheticians will go through all of the aftercare with you on the day of your treatment. It is very important you follow your aftercare instructions to get the best results possible. The true pigment will show through after 28 days, after that stage we will then get you back in for your top up treatment.
