What are wrinkles?

When we are young, our skin is lovely and plump and wrinkle free. As we age, we lose 1 to 2% of our collagen every year from the age of 25. This means the skin gets less elastic and doesn’t bounce back. These factors mean that the skin is bigger, the face is smaller and it creates creases and wrinkles. To address these problems, a combination of restoring volume and tightening the skin is required.

Profhilo

Profhilo is an innovative injectable treatment that harnesses the power of hyaluronic acid to rejuvenate the skin from within. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Profhilo works to hydrate and remodel the skin rather than adding volume or structure. It consists of a high concentration of stabilised hyaluronic acid, which is injected into multiple points in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production. This results in improved skin elasticity, hydration, and overall firmness.

Polynucleotides

The new ‘fish on the block’ in aesthetics is Plenhyage XL. Derived from Salmon sperm extract, the treatment came from stem cell regenerative medicine where it has been found to have high levels of DNA extract closely aligned to human DNA. This treatment can address concerns in different parts of the face and body that normally would have required a cocktail of treatments and products.
