Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-wrinkle injections, commonly known as Botox, inhibit muscle movement. Anti-wrinkle injections can smooth out existing wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. Dr Ros & Dr Maddie will carry out your treatment to give you a natural look.

Botox is often used in a preventative way to help reduce signs of aging. Your skin is like a piece of paper, the more you crease it, the more permanent the creases become. For this reason we use Botox to stop the dynamic wrinkles (those only present when you are frowning) from becoming static wrinkles (showing all the time).

The Treatment

Dr. Ros or Dr. Maddie will spend time talking to you to see how you use your muscles in an expressive way and find out what your concerns are. Then they will feel the muscles on your face to identify the muscles that cause the wrinkles. Botox is not a one size fits all treatment. The consultation is crucial and the experience of your injector is paramount.

Aftercare & Follow-Up
Once the treatment has had time to settle, you'll come back in for a review to see how your injections have settled. This occurs between 2-3 weeks post treatment and a top up is administered if required. We advise you book your next appointment for around four months as we want to administer a new dose of Botox before the muscle fully recovers. Alongside Botox, we encourage our patients to consider the following treatments: 1. Profhilo: a collagen stimulating Hyaluronic acid injection to improve the consistency of the skin and give a more youthful appearance. 2. Hydrafacial: a six step facial that provides an incredible fresh faced feeling with a glow. This is also a great treatment for any red carpet event. 3. Clinic & medical grade skin care products 4. Botox can be injected in areas on the face and body.

  • Botox for the face: Forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows, crows feet and some areas of the lower face and neck

Anti-wrinkle injections work by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles. This process smooths out existing wrinkles and prevents new ones from forming.

The effects of anti-wrinkle injections typically last for three to four months, although this can vary depending on individual factors such as metabolism and muscle strength. Regular maintenance treatments are usually required to maintain results.

The treatment doesn’t usually require any downtime. Very occasionally a bruise may occur but this can be camouflaged using a peachy coloured concealer.

Most adults who are bothered by the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and are in good overall health are suitable candidates for anti-wrinkle injections. However, pregnant or breastfeeding women and individuals with certain medical conditions may not be eligible for treatment.

Anti-wrinkle injections can smooth out existing wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance. Results typically become noticeable within a few days to a week after treatment.

Prices start at £355 for women and £425 for men. Dr Maddie holds a clinic on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for Millennials who do not need as much Botox. This starts at £220.
