About
So often we complain when we see pictures of ourselves as we look tired and stressed, yet we are having a lovely time at a family gathering or out with friends. The natural tendency, when we look in the mirror, is to raise our eyebrows so often we do not realise that we frown a lot, and give the impression to those around us that we are stressed, unapproachable and angry. Botox is the best treatment to counteract this so you appear calm and chilled in any situation. But this is not the most important reason to address frown lines (as well as forehead lines and crows feet) using Botox. Preventative Botox can stop the lines being visible even when you not making an expression. Your skin is ‘like a piece of paper’ and constant frowning, squinting and raising your brows will lead to these lines becoming permanent as you age due to the loss of elasticity of the skin with collagen loss over the years.
Botox has become such a commonly available treatment that many people are not aware of the skill, medical knowledge and experience that is needed to deliver a treatment that gives a natural looking result. The injection points and volume used vary hugely from person to person and face to face. If a ‘one size fits all’ approach is used then there are often tell tell signs that scream “I’ve had Botox” or cries of “My brows have dropped’. Dr Ros and her team have the qualifications, experience and techniques to administer your Botox to give you the best natural looking results. Every step of the way you will be given all the information you need and all your questions will be answered. And rest assured that if they think that Botox is not a suitable treatment for you they will say.
Botox is a prescription only medicine so legally you must be seen in person by a doctor, dentist or a suitably qualified nurse who can prescribe it. People who are not qualified and are doing illegal treatments must get there Botox from unreputable suppliers.
Facial assessment for Botox starts the moment you enter the consulting room. At Radiance we take the time to understand you, your lifestyle and your personality as these are important on determining your ‘Botox blueprint’. We also notice your facial expressions and how you move your face when you are not concentrating on ‘making a frown’ or ‘lifting your eyebrows’. The differences are subtle but so important. We notice any asymetry and any quirky movements to build up your profile. Your treatment is specific to you, your face and your age. It will change over time and we will keep your look natural. All these things we have gained for 15+ years of experience, and we share our knowledge with you so you fully understand your treatment and the results we are aiming for.
We know that many practitioners just offer injectables. We also know that ‘looking the best version of you’ means looking after your skin. We are passionate about skin and have built our Botox and Beyond membership around this fact. The membership allows you to pay monthly for your Botox and receive discounts on treatments, medical grade products and scientifically backed collagen to the value of one of your Botox treatments every year along with a Birthday treatment. At your consultation with Dr Ros or Dr Maddie you get more than just a Botox treatment; start off with a VISIA skin scan and feel free to ask any questions you have. There is no such thing as a silly question.

FAQ
Anti-wrinkle injections work by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles. This process smooths out existing wrinkles and prevents new ones from forming.
The effects of anti-wrinkle injections typically last for three to four months, although this can vary depending on individual factors such as metabolism and muscle strength. Regular maintenance treatments are usually required to maintain results.
The treatment doesn’t usually require any downtime. Very occasionally a bruise may occur but this can be camouflaged using a peachy coloured concealer.
Most adults who are bothered by the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and are in good overall health are suitable candidates for anti-wrinkle injections. However, pregnant or breastfeeding women and individuals with certain medical conditions may not be eligible for treatment.
Anti-wrinkle injections can smooth out existing wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance. Results typically become noticeable within a few days to a week after treatment.
Prices start at £355 for women and £425 for men. Dr Maddie holds a clinic on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for Millennials who do not need as much Botox. This starts at £220.
